Well...where do I begin?

Once upon a time, there was a girl. She was a waitress, in a bar, until she met this Immortal who was five thousand years old. Now...this is very important...she died. Then another Immortal brought her back.

Try to keep up.

Finally, she met a different kind of Immortal. And she fell in love. The girl thought that she understood love, before, but she was wrong. THIS love lifted her, defined her and brought out parts of her that she never knew existed. It was a love that was supposed to last forever, the kind of love that we read about in fairy tales. But, the truth is, these loves sometimes end, in heartbreak and loss. The ending can destroy us, for all time, unless the love had shown us strength that we never knew we had.

So, I picked myself up, and I brushed off the tears. I found two things that changed my entire future. One was a necklace, ancient and Roman. The other was a book, that gave me a new 'career'. I found the city, one where new beginnings and ancient history blended together, which seemed strangely appropriate, for me. I found a home, in the French Quarter, and I began, again, to look for a life beyond the will of men.
